Two-faced
When you’re residing on sucha tiny island, hardly anything you do goes unnoticed. The “friendster” that exists in Singapore is just oh so appalling. Everyone knows everyone. News spread like wildfire and before you know it, a spanking new over-embellished account is born. Ten folds more melodramatic, twenty folds more heinous.
Paparazzi. There lies a paparazzi in everyone. They watch your every move menacingly, they scavenge for your dirty linen voraciously, they rejoice with a standing ovation at your every hiccup. Pernicious souls with tongues laced with malice, the people with no qualms about seeking pleasure at another’s expense.
No smoke without fire you’d say. Vivid imagination perhaps. Friends and foes simultaneously, how tragic. Probably how the word hypocrite came about.
A friend of mine leads a wretched life. The backbiters she mistook for allies, what witches.
“I heard she goes around boasting about her sexcapades..”
Lousy school dropout turned model
“She is quite easy, I heard.”
Pre-pubescent horny unknowns
“That bitch flirts shamelessly.”
Cannot-make-it ugly law student
These tongues have to be chastised.
When someone looks upon you as a friend, keep those claws and quit that bitching.
